Laura Didier was raised with an appreciation for music by her father, a classically trained pianist, and her mother, with whom she shares a love of musical theater. From an early age, she found herself drawn to the timeless music of the big band era. Notes Didier, “When it comes to music, I have a nostalgic heart.”

In 2007, Didier became the featured vocalist with the Sacramento, CA based Jim Martinez Trio. She performs nationally with the group, delighting audiences with her pure, sweet voice, engaging personality, and quick wit. Her highlights include the Sacramento Jazz Festival and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho, as well as major Christmas concerts in Iowa and North Carolina. In 2008, Didier made her first international appearance at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in New Brunswick, Canada.

In early 2009, Didier and Martinez co-developed a Jazz concert titled “A Tribute to the Music of Doris Day”, with performances scheduled nationally. The show pays tribute to the music, style, and grace of Ms. Day by sharing with the audience her most beloved songs as well as interesting stories from her career. In the course of developing the show, Didier and Martinez have become acquainted with Ms. Day and her management team. Shares Didier, “It is such a thrill to know that Doris Day supports and endorses what we are doing in her honor!” The Cypress Inn, a hotel co-owned by Doris Day in Carmel, CA, has presented their tribute show on multiple ocassions.

Didier and Martinez have also co-developed several lecture/musical PowerPoint presentations, which they share at libraries and community centers nationwide. One such program highlights the lyricists of the Great American Songbook, including Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Ira Gershwin, and Oscar Hammerstein.

Didier has also spent the past eighteen years supporting the Air Force career of her husband and raising their three sons, Alex, Sam, and Zach.
